Gucci Decides To Banned Fur from Its Future Collections

Gucci plans to band fur from there upcoming collections. The Italian brand has recently decided to change things and join the Fur Free Alliance. The brand is taking a international approach. Working hard to stop people from murdering animals for there garments, Gucci and other brands such as, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Armani are forming an alliance to keep there cloth fur-free.
In consideration to end animal cruelty, Gucci’s chief excutive, Marco Bizzari, believed banning fur would assist the brand by taking a stand. Also “it’s a little bit out-dated,” he expressed to the Business of Fashion. “Do you think using furs today is still modern? I don’t think it’s still modern and that’s the reason why we decided not to do that.”
furthermore, Bizarri will put-up approximately one million euros to help fund education and health plans for teens at UNICEF’s Girls Empowerment Initiative. In addition, Gucci is supporting the cause of gender diversity at its headquarters, “with more than half of senior management positions held by women,” BoF reports.
